Description
The Decanter is a key machine used in palm oil processing. It separates crude palm oil (CPO) from solids (sludge) and water using high-speed centrifugal force. This process improves the clarity of the oil, reduces impurities, and enhances both the efficiency and quality of crude oil before further refining.
Working Principle
A mixture of oil, water, and sludge is fed into a rotating drum inside the decanter
The drum spins at high speed, generating centrifugal force to separate the components into layers
Clean oil is discharged through one outlet, while water and solids are removed through separate outlets
This reduces moisture and impurities in the crude oil
